I have an old copy of Office I don't want to pay for another version because works fine for me. I bought a new laptop yesterday and installed Office, but I can't activate it. It says the key has already been "activated the maximum number of times". I can't activate by phone as it says Office no longer has support.

I have already uninstalled Office from my old computer, so I'm left with just 29 days to use Office. How can I activate it? It is only installed on one laptop right now my new laptopand it isn't activated on either. I already signed into my Microsoft account when I was installing it. It asked me to. And there's no option to reinstall or activate it on my online account. If Office still won't activate, try running an online repair as described in Repair an Office application to fix up the remaining install of Office. If you still can't activate, proceed to the next step. If you have a Microsoft for home subscription, let's make sure it's still active and renew your subscription, if necessary.
